Manager Joe Edwards’ Blues take on the Blaugrana’s best from La Masia in the prestigious final of the UEFA Youth League – the Champions League of youth football.
Chelsea have a rich history in the competition and are aiming to win it for a third time running in seasons that they have qualified after triumphs in 2015 and 2016.
Chelsea needed a penalty shoot-out win over Porto in the semi-finals, while Barcelona edged out Manchester City 5-4 to progress to the final at the Colvoray Stadium in Nyon.
It is the first meeting at this level between the sides since the Blues beat their Spanish counterparts 2-0 in the last 16 round of the NextGen Series in 2013 (with the Blues losing in the final to Aston Villa).
