Barcelona whiz Lamine Yamal was full of pride after making his Spain debut last night.
Yamal, at 16 years and 57 days, made his first La Roja appearance as Spain won 7-1 in Tbilisi – scoring on the night.
He later said, “I’m living a dream right now, I’m very happy and I thank my teammates and the coach for giving me their trust, as well as all those who helped me along my path.”
After ending talk of playing for Morocco, he continued: “It is clear that I am very satisfied with the decision and very happy.
“It will be a very long road with Spain and I hope that we will win many things together. With the rivals the change is noticeable, but also the passes of the teammates they are of the highest level and this helps a lot.”
