Sport says Barca will try and reach a deal to extend his contract in January. He wants to stay and the staff like his versatility.
He arrived late in the transfer window from Chelsea and took a big pay cut to come to Camp Nou.
Barcelona want to extend his one year deal by a further two seasons, in a one plus one deal, whereas he would like two straight up.
There is not likely to be problems with both sides wanting to reach an agreement.
