Barcelona have drawn 1-1 at Olot for their first friendly of preseason.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the lone goal for Xavi’s side, who had the upper hand for much of the match, especially on the wings.
Their first real chance came just before the 10 minute mark, Pablo Torre picking out Aubameyang with a great ball.
On 19 minutes, the former Arsenal striker rattled the crossbar after getting his head onto a great Kessie cross.
However Olot, who celebrated their centenary on Wednesday, responded soon after, with Marc-Andre ter Stegen forced into action.
After a dangerous Olot counter, Aubameyang found the back of the net after being picked out by the German goalkeeper.
Following a much needed hydration break, Olot were awarded a penalty after Mike Marmol fouled Manzano.
Eloi stepped up and made no mistake to level the match before half-time.
Pedri came on after the break, while Ansu Fati was handed the captain’s armband.
The latter picked out Alex Valle in the 62nd minute, but he couldn’t hit the mark.
Despite late efforts from Pedri and Fati, the match ended with nothing to separate the two sides.
