Liverpool have thrown in the towel over their pursuit of Barcelona midfielder Gavi.
The 17-year-old is a key player for Barcelona, and the club are hoping to get him to renew his contract.
Spanish outlet Sport has claimed that Liverpool did want to sign Gavi, but have moved on after being told he is untouchable at Barca.
They are now focusing on Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
The latter has also been linked to Manchester United and Manchester City this summer.
Phillips has two years remaining on his contract with Leeds.
