Barcelona coach Xavi hailed their matchwinner Pedri after victory over Sevilla.
Pedri struck the only goal of the game on Sunday.
Xavi said, “I already said that he is a superlative player. He marks differences, also in the goal. We encourage him to shoot and, in space-time, he is a superlative player. He doesn’t surprise me. He handles both legs. He is a player that has no comparison.
“There are many types of leadership. There is the coach. And then there are the captains, Ter Stegen, Pedri who is a leader on the pitch. But the leadership he has on the field is extraordinary.”
Xavi added, “We do not send any messages to anyone. We send it to ourselves. We are fine. And people are helping us a lot. There is harmony and we have to take advantage of it. We have put ourselves second and as long as mathematics does not say otherwise, we will try.”
