Spain coach Luis Enrique: Barcelona midfielder Gavi a beast

Spain coach Luis Enrique was happy with their World Cup qualifying win against Greece.

La Roja won 1-0 in Athens on Thursday night.

Enrique later said: “We could have played better, but Greece have been a great rival. We have managed to neutralise their attacking game. Happy with the attitude of the team because in these tense matches it is normal for there to be nerves.

“But it is true that in the second-half we had a little less control, at least until the entrance of (Sergi) Busquets.”

Enrique was also upbeat on Barcelona midfielder Gavi after he collected a knock.

He added: “Gavi is a brown beast. He didn’t want to go out, he was dizzy, he saw double. He was very good.”
