Barcelona president Joan Laporta has again stated their contract talks with Leo Messi remain on track.
Laporta has a new message of calm for Cules worried about Messi’s contractual situation and the club’s wage bill in general.
The juggling act required to pull off renewing Messi without weakening the squad as a whole is proving a headache for the club and their fans, but Laporta wants fans to know he’s on the right path.
“Everything’s going fine,” said Laporta upon arriving at Barcelona‘s offices on Tuesday morning.
Messi is currently playing for Argentina in the Copa America as a free agent.
