Ex-ref Andujar Oliver: Barcelona captain Messi should’ve been SENT OFF

Ex-LaLiga ref Juan Andujar Oliver says Barcelona captain Lionel Messi should’ve been sent off during their 1-1 draw with Alaves.

Messi kicked the ball towards referee Alejandro Hernandez Hernandez in frustration and could have been shown a red card.

He was let off the hook with a yellow, but Andujar Oliver believes that the Argentine should have been shown a straight red card.

“He should have been sent off, even though the ball didn’t hit Hernandez Hernandez,” Andujar Oliver told Radio MARCA of that 39th minute incident. “With that action, he wanted to intimidate the referee and that deserves a straight red.”
