RB Leipzig midfielder Olmo happy Xavi in Barcelona: I’m glad he’s back

RB Leipzig midfielder Dani Olmo is happy seeing Xavi take charge of Barcelona.

Olmo came through the Barca academy system before leaving for Dinamo Zagreb at 16.

Asked at today’s Spain presser about his old club, Olmo laughed: “I knew, I knew I was going to be asked that. I see them well, now with Xavi I’m glad he went. In addition to being from Terrassa, he is a benchmark, but we are here to talk about the national team that is the focus of today.”

Xavi has praised Olmo in the past and he also said: “Always grateful for the good words always and also coming from Xavi. As I have already told you, in addition to being from Terrassa, he is a benchmark in the world of football.”

Asked if he could see himself playing for Xavi in the future, Olmo added: “I see myself under Luis Enrique‘s orders now, focused on the national team and on the match against Greece.

“The future will be seen.”
