Valencia midfielder Pepelu: Barcelona draw a good reward

Valencia midfielder Pepelu was delighted with their 1-1 draw against Barcelona.

Hugo Guillimon canceled out Joao Felix‘s opener for Barcelona on the day.

Pepelu said: “It is a point that reflects the daily effort of the team, the union, the work and a point from which to grow. Hopefully the team will continue to grow and improve every day.

“We know how Barcelona plays and the team they are, very strong offensively. We have been in the game for 90 minutes, we have done what we worked for and that point has to make us optimistic for the future.

“The idea was to stay alive throughout the match and we did it by insisting. We recovered from the blow right at the start of the second half, with spirit and attitude, and it’s a well-deserved point.

“I’m happy for Hugo, for his daily work and he deserves it because he didn’t have many minutes, but he works hard and I’m very happy for him. I dropped to my knees like everyone else because it was a moment of euphoria and he got a slap in the face.”
