Barcelona coach Xavi: Fans crucial against PSG; it must be a boiler

Barcelona coach Xavi says the fans will be important against PSG tomorrow night.

Barca host PSG in the second-leg of their Champions League quarterfinal defending a 3-2 lead.

Xavi said, “For us it is a very big opportunity as a club. We play at home, we have that factor in our favour. Montjuïc has to be like the magical nights of Camp Nou. I envision a match very similar to the first leg: they will not speculate, they will press us, they will go ahead… We will have to find the spaces and show personality to advance to the semifinals.

“We are talking about one of the best teams and coach in the world. We have a lot of enthusiasm and desire, we are excited.

“I’m fine, very motivated and very happy to be where we are as a club. We have a chance to reach the semifinals after five seasons without doing so. You also see that there is a very big opportunity. I am with Ancelotti, victories give relief and defeats hardly let you breathe.

“I have not seen a game of Luis Enrique‘s teams that has not gone on the attack. They do not defend, and even less so tomorrow.

“It will be important to control emotions and temperament. An expulsion would affect us a lot. It will be very difficult, but we have to show the best side and personality of the team. It will be one of the keys to the tie

“Tomorrow it has to be a boiler. There will be difficult moments and they will make us suffer. Everyone, team and fans, has to be united.”
