Real Madrid in pole position to sign PSG’s Arsenal and Chelsea outcast Rabiot on free transfer this summer

REAL MADRID have agreed a deal to sign PSG outcast Adrien Rabiot, according to reports in Spain.

The Frenchman has found himself isolated from the PSG squad this season, having not played since December in a run stretching 18 matches.

Real Madrid look to have secured the signing of Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer next season

According to AS, new Real boss Zinedine Zidane has reached an agreement with the 23-year-old midfielder to join on a free next season.

This will end interest from a host of top European clubs, including Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool.

Barcelona were thought to have been close to agreeing a deal for Rabiot, however, PSG’s feud with the La Liga champions called a halt to that deal.

The two clubs are still recovering from the fall out of the record breaking £198million Neymar deal from 2017.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool were all monitoring Rabiot’s situation, but the midfielder looks to be on his way to Madrid.

Real chiefs are desperate to source a replacement for Ballon d’Or winner Luka Modric, who turns 34 in September.

Zidane is an idol of Rabiot’s, and the opportunity to play under his tutelage is thought to be a major factor in his decision to join the Bernabeu in the summer.

The new Real manager, who returns to Madrid after leaving last season, has also listed Eden Hazard, Paul Pogba, Kylian Mbappe and Sadio Mane on his summer wishlist.
