LAFC defeated Vancouver Whitecaps FC 1-0 on Saturday at Banc of California Stadium, as both teams wrap up Preseason presented by Advocare.
LAFC got on the board in the 13th minute, as Christian Ramirez sent a pass to Carlos Vela on the flank, with the Mexican going for a different approach and finishing with his right foot past Whitecaps goalkeeper Zac MacMath.
Shortly after the second-half kickoff, Vela took a rough tackle and did not continue, as his status will be a big topic ahead of the season opener.
LAFC begin the 2019 MLS regular season on March 3 at home against Sporting Kansas City (8:30 pm ET | ESPN). Vancouver kick off their slate a day earlier, at home against Minnesota United (6 pm ET | TSN1/4 in Canada; ESPN+ in US).
