Arsenal are reportedly hopeful of sealing the transfer of Paris Saint-Germain youngster Christopher Nkunku by the end of the week.
According to football.london, the Gunners believe they stand a good chance of doing a deal as long as PSG can bring in a new signing of their own.
The report rates Nkunku’s chances of a move to the Emirates Stadium at 8/10, which seems a bold call to make, but suggests there really must be some close to the club who believe this signing will happen.
Nkunku is not the biggest name likely to excite too many Arsenal fans, though he looks a player with a potentially big future if he’s given the chance to play and improve.
The 21-year-old can play a variety of roles so should be a useful squad player for Arsenal at the very least if he does end up joining.
Fans will also most likely be grateful for any new additions this January as Unai Emery’s current squad looks a little light and in need of almost any improvements it can get.
