Watford have opened talks with Bordeaux with a view to making an offer for winger 22-year-old winger Francois Kamano this month.
The Guinea international has been in pristine form for Bordeaux this season, scoring eleven goals in all competitions for the French outfit.
His performances at Bordeaux have attracted the attention of several clubs and there are suggestions that the winger could leave in the winter transfer window.
Bordeaux have already rejected a €13m bid from Ligue 1 giants Monaco and are now entertaining negotiations with Premier League outfit Watford.
The Hornets are interested in taking Kamano to Hertfordshire this month and according to France Football, they are prepared to make a bid of around €17m for him.
Watford could be forced to add a few more millions to their possible bid as Bordeaux do not want to sell him below the €20m to €25m range in January.
Kamano is their primary target but Watford are ready to make a move for Guingamp’s Marcus Thuram if don’t agree on a deal with Bordeaux.
The Guinea winger has a contract until 2021 with the Ligue 1 club.
