Mourinho the problem at Manchester United not Pogba – brother

The FC guys believe Manchester United and Arsenal will put it all on the line when they face off in the FA Cup fourth round.

The FC crew remain unsure that Ole Gunnar Solskaer is the right long-term appointment for Manchester United, even if he sees out his interim role successfully.

The brother of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has said former manager Jose Mourinho caused serious rifts inside the Old Trafford dressing room.

Pogba endured a difficult relationship with his ex-boss, who was dismissed following a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool in December and replaced by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with the club in sixth place in the Premier League.

And Mathias Pogba said the former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager was the main culprit for the issues on and off the field.

“The problem was Mourinho, period,” Mathias, who plays for French Ligue 2 side Tours, told RMC. “In the dressing room, outside the dressing room — everything.

“I know my brother. You tell him: ‘Go out there boy and play’, the rest, he’ll do it.

“From what you see of Mourinho, he always wants to be the maestro, the centre of attention. Paul, he doesn’t even consider that aspect. You respect him, he’s going to respect you. You trust him, he’ll play great games for you.”

Pogba was an unused substitute in two of Mourinho’s final three matches as manager, but has scored four goals in four appearances since with United claiming five consecutive victories.
