Neymar becomes global brand ambassador for Qatar National Bank days after PSG categorically denied claims stars would be sold to avoid FFP penalty

NEYMAR has become a global brand ambassador for Qatar National Bank (QNB) – days after PSG furiously denied they would need to sell their stars to avoid a Financial Fair Play penalty.

The Parisians rubbished claims made by a French newspaper L’Equipe and accused them of running a campaign against the club.

QNB is Qatar’s biggest bank and the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa.

The agreement was signed at the bank’s Paris branch on Sunday between its group communications manager Yousef Darwish and Neymar’s dad.

It appears to strengthen the ties between the Qatari-owned club and the Brazilian star who was said to consider a move away from Parc des Princes.

Two days ago PSG also categorically denied claims made by L’Equipe that they could sell Neymar or Kylian Mbappe to avoid FFP sanctions.

PSG have categorically denied L’Equipe’s claims they could sell Neymar to avoid a FFP penalty

The Parisians released a statement minutes after the newspaper published their article attacking L’Equipe for having “ulterior motives” and running a deliberate campaign against the club.

Uefa, however, are thought to look closely at the French champions’ business model to make sure they are not bypassing FFP regulations.

Neymar’s partnership gives QNB exclusive marketing rights of the player who will appear across its advertising platforms and major businesses.

They say in an official statement that the winger, who has 209 million fans on social media, “is a true sport icon who inspires fans worldwide to strive to reach the ultimate standards of excellence”.
