Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris netted his first league goal of the season for Nantes, who shared the spoils at 1-1 draw with Angers in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday.
A second half substitute, the forward’s goal proved crucial as it earned the Yellow Canaries a home point at Stade de la Beaujoire – Louis Fonteneau.
It was his 14th appearance for the club since completing a loan move from Portuguese giants Porto in the summer.
The goal comes almost a month after he scored his first goal for Vahid Halilhodzic’s outfit in a 3-0 victory over Montpelier in the League Cup.
Cameroon striker Stephane Bahoken’s fifth minute opener looked like it was going to be the match winner of Saturday’s fixture until Waris showed up with the equaliser a minute to full-time.
Fifteen minutes after coming on as a substitute and four minutes after picking up a yellow card, the 27-year-old finished off a counter attack with a shot into the bottom left corner to make it 1-1, having been assisted by Emiliano Sala.
The point has taken Nantes to 10th on the league table, four positions above Angers.
Waris will hope to add to his tally when the Canaries play away to Saint-Etienne in Ligue 1 on Friday.
