NEW Uefa president Aleksander Ceferin could cut England’s four Champions League spots to three.
The Slovenian lawyer, 48, was the shock choice to succeed the disgraced Michel Platini.
And he is set for an instant showdown with Europe’s biggest clubs. He is unhappy at changes that have angered smaller nations.
Four Champions League group stage slots will go to English, Italian, German and Spanish clubs in 2018.
But Ceferin said: “We were not informed properly, I still think so.
“I will have to sit down with all 55 national associations. That will be the first thing to deal with.”
Ceferin beat Dutchman Michael van Praag in a vote at a Uefa congress.
And the FA are “comfortable” with it — despite backing the loser.
Chairman Greg Clarke said: “He’ll bring football together and take tough decisions. It was not a choice between good and bad, but two good candidates.”
Platini said he felt no guilt about corruption claims in a farewell speech.
He added: “My conscience is clear.”
