Thulani Serero’s Vitesse were knocked out of the Europa League after failing to beat Swiss outfit Basel.

Basel 1-0 Vitesse

Vitesse were eliminated in the Europa League qualifying stage after losing 1-0 to Basel in the second leg.

The second leg defeat means Vitesse bow out of the campaign with a 2-0 aggregate defeat.

Serero played the full 90 minutes just as he did in the first leg last week.

Sporting Braga 2-2 Zorya

Sporting Braga were knocked on the away goals rule after they could only manage to secure a 2-2 draw with Zorya.

After drawing 1-1 in the first leg a week ago, Braga were seven minutes away from advancing to the next round before Oleksandr Karavayev’s equaliser ended their campaign, with the tie ending 3-3 on aggregate.

South African winger Luther Singh has not been involved in the club’s campaign so far.
