The 29-year-old has been linked with moves to Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, and is believed to be keen on ending his seven-year spell in Bavaria.

SunSport reported that the Red Devils had ‘made contact’ with the Bundesliga champions as they look to thrash out a deal for the centre-half before Thursday’s deadline.
But according to German news outlet Bild, the 29-year-old will shun a return back to the Premier League, and instead favours a move to join the Ligue 1 giants.
Boateng spent a solitary season in England with United’s rivals Manchester City in the 2010/11 campaign – helping them win the FA Cup before signing for Bayern.
And with rumours linking him with a switch away from the club, his team-mates have implored him to remain at Munich.
Boateng, 29, has been with the Bundesliga champions since joining from Manchester City in 2011
Boateng was hugely disappointing for Germany at the World Cup in Russia
David Alaba told reporters: “We’d all be sad. He’s a world-class player, one of the best in his position.”
While star winger Franck Ribery said: “I’ve been playing with Jerome for many years now.
“I hope he stays with us because he’s an important player. To me, he’s one of the best central defenders in the world.”
And club captain Manuel Neuer echoed their statements, insisting he would be deeply missed should he feel it is time for a new challenge.
The 2014 World Cup winner said: “Of course we would miss him, I think it would be a pity, but assume that he stays.”
It was reported yesterday that Arsenal had joined the race to nab the ex-Hamburg ace.
Unai Emery is desperate to bolster the backline, as he looks to shore up the Gunners‘ leaky defence.
Boateng looks to have fallen down the pecking order at Bayern, with Niklas Sule and Mats Hummers the preferred centre-back pairing in pre-season.
