Nantes is used to having an American on the books, as Alejandro Bedoya played there from 2013-2016.
The 23-year-old joins after two seasons at Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem, where he won a domestic cup while playing regularly in the Eredivisie. Under contract at Chelsea, he hasn’t played for the Premier League giant since 2016, after moving over at the start of that year from the Red Bulls.
Miazga made 34 appearances in MLS regular season play across three seasons for the Red Bulls, from 2013-2015. He was a regular in the Red Bulls’ 2015 Supporters’ Shield-winning season, and has become a US international at senior level, with seven caps to his name so far.
