Barcelona management were unimpressed by coach Xavi organising a go-kart day for the squad last week.
Xavi held a day of go-karting for the players on December 7, just days after their thrashing by Girona.
And news of the event left some higher ups unimpressed, given the amount of days off Xavi has granted his players this season.
El Pais says after learning of the Kart event, Barca president Joan Laporta and sports chief Deco insisted Xavi reverse his decision to rest Robert Lewandowski, Ronald Araújo and Ilkay Gündogan for the Champions League trip to Antwerp. Frenkie De Jong was also ordered to go, but missed the game due to a fever.
The decision had been made after claims from Xavi that his senior players needed further rest.
