Girona president Delfi Geli insists they’re not thinking about winning the LaLiga.
LaLiga leaders Girona thumped title rivals Barcelona 4-2 on Sunday to further strengthen their credentials.
But Geli told Radio Marca today: “Win The League? We are not in this battle, we are in the fight to get into Europe. The club’s first objective was salvation and we practically have it.
“Now we have the hope of fighting for other things and for us it is a pride to be in this fight.
“Míchel has a contract with us for two more seasons, he is very happy here, he believes in the project. The future will be seen. He is a coach capable of transmitting many things.
“He is able to motivate his players to play games like the one we played yesterday.
“The objective in recent years has been to have a team that has an attractive way of playing with the ball. There are many teams playing very well, it is time to claim La Liga.”
