Spain coach Luis de la Fuente is delighted to have led the nation to Euro2024 qualification.
Victory in Norway last night sees Spain qualify for the Germany tournament.
Barcelona midfielder Gavi scored the only goal of the game and De la Fuente said: “I am happy because the team has grown in an exceptional way. We are a united team that has worked hard to achieve this. We deserve it and we will enjoy a lot.
“The entire team has been exceptional. They are growing more and more and we have guarantee centres for the future of Spanish football. They have done a great job and earned it.
“I am happy for the work I am doing. It was our obligation and our responsibility. There will be something when it has been achieved in this way, but football goes up and down. We are in a balance zone. I am delighted to live this experience.”
