PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN have reportedly rejected the chance to sign wantaway Manchester United striker Anthony Martial.
Get French Football claims the Red Devils offered him to the Ligue 1 champions for a whopping £71million.
PSG have rejected the chance to sign Anthony Martial for £71m
PSG are always looking to sign the best French players and were understood to have interest in bringing Martial to the Parc des Princes.
But it’s said that Jose Mourinho told Thomas Tuchel to cough up a staggering fee for the ace’s services.
And with PSG actively looking to offload some players in order to comply with Financial Fair Play rules following Kylian Mbappe’s £166m permanent move from Monaco, they quickly walked away from negotiations.
It means Martial could be set to stay at Old Trafford for at least another season despite pushing for an exit.
The striker is desperate to leave Man United this summer
The versatile attacker vanished from United’s pre-season tour of America in order to return home for the birth of his child, much to Mourinho’s annoyace.
The Special One is keen for Martial to leave so he can persuade Ed Woodward to bring in either Ivan Perisic or Ante Rebic.
But Mourinho was holding out for a foreign buyer as he has no interest in selling Martial to either Chelsea or Spurs, who are both said to be readying tempting bids.
However, as time ticks down in the transfer window, Martial could yet force Mourinho’s hand into securing a switch to one of United’s title rivals.
