Lewandowski: Barcelona need to buy; Dembele best in the world

Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski says he’ll be ready for Sunday’s El Clasico at Real Madrid.

The Pole says they’re confident going into the El Clasico.

He said “We have a good team. It may be that with one or two changes we would be stronger. Not perfect, but more competitive. This season we had problems in the Champions League and that is what we must correct.

“We are not ready yet to compete at the highest level for the three titles. In football it is impossible to change something in a week or a month. It takes time. I always wanted to play in the LaLga. It was already known that Barcelona has many problems but when I saw the path they wanted to take, I said to myself: I want to be part of this”.

On Real coach Carlo Ancelotti, who he worked with at Bayern Munich, Lewandowski said: “Ancelotti gave me great self-confidence. He gave me something that he didn’t have before. He is an amazing human being, a man who cares for you. For him, the most important thing is to be a good person, not to talk about tactics. He is a man to learn from.

“It is the most important club game in the world because there are many fans watching it. Even I saw it that way when I wasn’t at Barça. Now I am part of the Clásico and that is incredible for me.

“(Ousmane) Dembélé is the player who has surprised me most positively since the first training session in Barcelona. He has talent, quality and is very fast. He may be the best player in his position. Dembélé is already among the best. Sometimes he gets injured, but if he is on the field he can do anything with the ball, because he is pure talent.”
