Gerard Pique has lifted the lid on his original move from Barcelona to Manchester United as a teen.
Pique, who has retired this week, has also left the door ajar to playing for Andorra, the club he owns.
He told Ibai Gomez on his Twitch stream: “I have never considered leaving because my team was Barça and if at 28 they had told me at Barça that they wouldn’t renew me, I wouldn’t have gone anywhere.
“Because besides, I had already gone once, to United. When I left United for Barça, at the age of 21, Juve offered me more. And, at 17 years old, United offered me much more and I told Barça: for a third, I want to stay. But Barça felt that they did not value me and I left. At that time, there was nothing offered.
“Never, never, I will not say never. But 99% I will not play for Andorra.”
