Barcelona coach Xavi has confirmed Miralem Pjanic is leaving.
At today’s Champions League presser for their clash with Viktoria Plzen, Xavi announced Pjanic was departing after he accepted an offer from Al Sharjah.
Xavi said, “Pjanic has decided to leave, he has been a great professional until today and I am counting on Pablo Torre, he has entered the list and I am very happy with him.
“He doesn’t change anything, he is one more and he is training very well. He can participate.”
Xavi also said: “It’s the Champions League, we play at home against a rival that has nothing to lose. A trap game for us against a very physical team, both tall and competitive.
“It’s the Champions, we have had the most difficult group in recent years but with all the enthusiasm in the world. We have to reach at least the round of 16 and compete. Dreaming is free.”
