Barcelona coach Xavi has explained the recent absence of on-loan Wolves winger Adama Traore.
Traore had an immediate impact at Barcelona. The winger set up a goal against Atletico and against Espanyol. However his time on the pitch has been diluted in recent weeks, and he has barely featured.
Xavi was asked about the winger and his ostracism and made it clear that Barcelona are not going to pay €30m for him.
“We will decide his future when we know the economic situation,” said Xavi.
“He’s been important, especially in the weeks after he arrived. He has a lot of competition with Ferran Torres and Ousmane Dembele. When he was better than them, he played. Now it’s the reverse. It’s a question of performance.”
