Barcelona have confirmed Pedri injured his thigh in Thursday’s 3-2 Europa League loss to Eintracht Frankfurt which saw them knocked out of the competition.
Pedri started the game but was taken off at half-time, replaced by Frenkie de Jong, after picking up a knock.
Barça have since confirmed: “The first team player Pedri has thigh problem in his left leg. He is awaiting tests to find out the exact extent of the injury. The midfielder from the Canary Islands played the first half of the game against Eintracht Frankfurt.”
The club have not said how long he could be out for but some reports suggest he will be out for six to eight weeks.
