Agents for Barcelona whizkid Gavi are demanding a bumper pay-rise for the midfielder.
Gavi is currently on a salary of €100,000, despite being a first-choice for Barca and also with Spain.
His agent, former Barca star Ivan de la Pena, has been locked in talks since last summer about a new deal for the youngster.
However, while Gavi and Barca are keen to continue together, De la Pena is insisting his client be rewarded for his new status established this season.
The midfielder’s deal runs to 2023 and Barca have warned De la Pena their financial problems still do not allow them to be generous with new contracts.
