LaLiga president Javier Tebas says Barcelona have done nothing wrong with their treatment of contract rebel Ousmane Dembele.
The Catalan club publicly declared the Frenchman on the market, yet Tebas feels as though Los Cules have done nothing illegal.
Dembele and his entourage have rejected the various renewal proposals that the Blaugrana put in front of them, meaning that he is set to be out of contract in June unless Barcelona are able to find a buyer in January.
Dembele was then involved in a public battle in which he denounced the Spanish club for trying to blackmail him, whilst the club left him out of their matchday squad due to a bout of gastroenteritis.
“No, none, I don’t think Barcelona have done anything illegal,” Tebas explained.
“Knowing Mateu Alemany I believe that to be the case, they have said he didn’t train due to gastroenteritis. I wish there were more like Mateu Alemany in football.”
