REVEALED: Ferran Torres offered to Real Madrid before Barcelona signing

Real Madrid passed on the chance of signing Ferran Torres before his move to Barcelona, it has been revealed.

Torres completed his move from Manchester City to Barca on Tuesday for a fee of €55m plus €10m in bonuses. After passing his medical on Monday, Torres penned a Barca deal yesterday for five years.

However, Okdiario says Torres could so easily have been pulling on a Real Madrid shirt today.

Agents for Torres offered the midfielder to Real president Florentino Perez in November. But the proposal was immediately rejected.

Although Florentino is aware of Torres’ potential, management have decided they don’t need to reinforce their attack in January, especially as Kylian Mbappé (PSG) and Erling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund) are priorities for next season.
