Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong would be an excellent signing for Manchester United.
That is the opinion of former Liverpool midfielder John Barnes.
He believes that if United are looking to replace Paul Pogba and refresh their central midfield options, the Dutchman is someone they should look to sign in the summer.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move away from Barca, who may want to sell one or two high value players in the summer to balance their books.
