Barcelona have moved to assure Marc-Andre ter Stegen he’s not for sale.
Sport says Barcelona have communicated to Ter Stegen that he’s not for sale. Even though the club’s financial and supporting situation is far from ideal, both the sporting directorate and coach Xavi Hernandez believe the German goalkeeper remains key to getting the team back on track.
Ter Stegen has a contract until 2025 and, while he’s not been performing as well as other seasons (like the majority of the squad), his case is different as he’s had injuries.
He’s still recovering his competitive rhythm after undertaking an intervention on a knee problem in the summer.
