PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are prepared to make Neymar the highest-paid player in the world on a staggering £850,000-a-week deal in order to fend off serious interest from Real Madrid, according to reports.
The Ligue 1 side – who smashed the transfer record by paying £198million for Neymar last summer – are ready to open the cheque book again to keep him in the French capital, say AS.
Neymar could earn a colossal £850,000 a week at PSG
Cristiano Ronaldo’s £99m move to Juventus has opened the door to a new Galactico arriving at the Bernabeu.
Real president Florentino Perez wants it to be Neymar, although they are also considering a £150m move for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.
But PSG are now said to have started talks with Neymar’s representatives over a new deal for the 26-year-old.
It is thought Neymar’s take-home pay from the improved contract would be roughly £500,000 a week, the same as Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.

The Ligue 1 champions are desperate to keep Neymar in the French capital
The former Barca man signed a five-year deal last summer but he is said to have no release clause in his contract.
Ligue 1 champions PSG are pulling out all the stops to keep Neymar at the club.
They have hired physio Bruno Mazziotti from the Brazil national team.
Mazziotti became close to the player when he was recovering from a foot injury that kept him sidelined for three months earlier this year.

Neymar was Brazil’s talisman during their unsuccessful World Cup campaign, where they left Russia after a quarter-final defeat to Belgium.
And he will be able to afford a few more of his favourite £700 gold bags should he commit to a new deal at the Parc des Princes.
