Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has no problem missing out on Lionel Messi.
The former Barcelona captain left for PSG this week, signing a two-year contract.
The announcement of Messi’s release by Barca occured on the same day as City were signing former Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish in a £100m deal.
Goal says despite being blindsided by Barca’s decision, City and Guardiola were prepared to sit out any battle with PSG for the Argentine.
With Kevin de Bruyne, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Raheem Sterling and Ilkay Gundogan all available to Guardiola, City’s manager had no problem seeing Messi move to Paris.
