New contract talks between Barcelona and Ilaix Moriba remain at deadlock.
Sport says there is still no agreement between FC Barcelona and Ilaix, who has not travelled with the first team squad to the pre-season training camp in Germany.
Wednesday was the third meeting between Ilaix’s agents and Barcelona, represented by technical secretary Ramon Planes and director of football Mateo Alemany. The meeting took place at the Joan Gamper Training Ground in Sant Joan Despí, and concluded without an agreement being reached.
The player’s agents and Barcelona have agreed to meet again to continue negotiations, although no date has yet been set for this fourth meeting.
It is understood that both parties are currently far apart in their valuations, with Ilaix demanding more than Barça can currently afford given their precarious financial situation.
The midfielder’s deal now has less than 12 months to run.
