Everton manager Rafa Benitez is seeking to add Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet to their squad.
According to Fichajes, the Spaniard has identified defense as an area where the Toffees can improve.
The former Liverpool boss believes Lenglet, who played for France at Euro 2020, is the ideal player to add stature and passing ability into the back line.
Given Barcelona are eager to sell players to reduce their wage bill ahead of the new La Liga season, Benitez may believe Lenglet can be secured for a reasonable fee.
The report states that Benitez is not a fan of Everton center back Yerry Mina, while he thinks Ben Godfrey and Mason Holgate are not quite ready for the big time.
