Former Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas has some words of advice for youngster Pedri.
The starlet started for Spain against Sweden in a 0-0 draw during their first group stage game of Euro 2020.
The 18-year-old became the youngest player to start for Spain in a major tournament, breaking a record Fabregas held from his appearances at the 2006 World Cup.
Fabregas, who was part of BBC’s coverage for the game, said: “I love the fact that 18-year-old Pedri is playing.
“Like Arsene Wenger said to me, ‘age is just a number. If you’re good enough, you’re ready to play’.
“He has fantastic personality, he wants the ball, he takes risks, he goes forward, makes run into space and he works very hard for the team.
“He’s already played 50 games this season for Barcelona and he’s been fantastic. He takes people on and likes to move with the ball.
“He has this thing that it feels like he’s walking on water with the ball.”
