The (former) eagle has landed.
LAFC’s third Designated Player, Andre Horta, has arrived in Los Angeles after wrapping up the season in his native Portugal, where he was on loan with Braga from Benfica.
Horta, who is scheduled to speak to the media on Saturday ahead of LAFC’s game against Columbus Crew SC (10:30 pm ET | Full TV & Streaming Info), won’t be eligible to play for his new side until after the secondary transfer window opens on July 10, but the 21-year-old sounds like he’s ready to get started.
“I chose LAFC because they wanted me more,” Horta said in this video released by the club on Friday.

And LAFC expect Horta will be controlling games in the midfield before long, as detailed in this profile on the player’s arrival on the team’s website.
