Barcelona have expressed interest in Valencia fullback Jose Luis Gaya.
Esporte 3 reports Barca have asked Valencia about their captain and been informed Gaya can leave for a knockdown fee of €15m.
While a move this month is off the table, Barca’s football directors will recommend to the new president – when voted in for March – they move for Gaya this summer.
Gaya is not only the starting defender at Valencia, but has managed to overtake Barcelona‘s Jordi Alba in the Spain team of Luis Enrique.
Any summer move for the left-back, however, will depend on Barca finding a buyer for Alba’s backup, Junior Firpo.
