RFEF Committee reject Barcelona appeal against Messi suspension

The RFEF Appeal Committee has rejected Barcelona‘s appeal against Lionel Messi‘s suspension.

Messi was hit with a two-match ban after being sent off in Sunday’s Supercopa de Espana final defeat to Athletic Bilbao.

The Argentine was given an automatic two-match suspension for a direct red card.

And Barca’s appeal was rejected today by the RFEF Appeal Committee.

Messi missed last night’s Copa del Rey win at Cornella and will also be suspended for Sunday’s LaLiga game against Elche.
