Spain were also off the pace in their Nations League debut campaign, failing to reach the Finals. They suffered defeats at the hands of Croatia and England to finish second in the group. Luis Enrique’s men were in prime form in their last taste of international football last November, hammering Malta and Romania. La Roja will also be looking to send out a statement ahead of the build up to the Euros next year.
Germany were underwhelming in their first attempt in the Nations League, failing to win any of their four matches in the competition. After a lengthy absence from the international field, Joachim Low will be eager to see his side find form and start to build momentum for the delayed European Championships that will now take place next summer. Die Mannschaft have won their last three matches on the bounce, although it will take a stronger effort this time around to beat Spain.
