Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is facing a lengthy spell out after undergoing knee surgery.
Ter Stegen is expected to be out for two and a half months, reports the club.
The German stopper was worked on by Dr Ramon Cugat, a knee specialist. He will not be fit to play at the start of the season, so Neto will begin the season in goal for new coach Ronald Koeman, although he has been on the sale list.
Ter Stegen has played 46 matches this season. 36 in La Liga, eight in the Champions League and two in the Copa del Rey.
He has kept a total of 15 clean sheets.
