Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic has considered a move to Chelsea this summer.
The Bosnian midfielder has been heavily linked with the exit door at the Allianz Stadium.
Barcelona are thought to be keen on the midfielder with a potential swap deal featuring Arthur touted.
But Chelsea are also keen on Pjanic and are looking to make up for lost time having been unable to sign anyone last summer due to a transfer ban.
Corriere dello Sport says the west Londoners have made contact with Pjanic, with the 30-year-old accepting his time in Italy may be coming to an end.
He has continued to be a regular under Maurizio Sarri but is eyeing a switch to Barcelona.
