Mark Hughes has signed a new three-year contract to remain as Southampton manager, the Premier League club have announced.
The 54-year-old was appointed in March with the club a point above the drop zone but managed to guide the Saints to safety.

Hughes said: “Mark, Eddie and I are thrilled to have signed long-term contracts with the club.
“It was the only option we considered, having spent the last eight weeks with the club.
