The South African star was at her best again as she outshined her rivals in the latest blockbusters contest amid the Covid-19 outbreak
Caster Semenya has beaten Africa’s women’s stars again, including compatriot Janine Van Wyk and Nigeria‘s Desire Oparanozie, in the blockbusters challenge of the Living Room Cup.
As lockdown continues in most nations across the globe, athletes are taking to various challenges to exercise at home.
Nike’s biggest sports stars launched challenges every week, from Cristiano Ronaldo’s ab to Paralympic Italian fencer Bebe Vio’s full-body finisher and German Leroy Sane’s side steps.
And Semenya earlier outshined the continent’s football stars, raking up 176 reps in just 45 seconds in an ab challenge, including Juventus striker Ronaldo’s 142 reps feat in the opening week.
The Living Room Cup is now in its fourth week and Dina Asher-Smith put up a blockbusters challenge, where you stay in a push-up position and move your feet quickly like you are running.
The British sprinter set a record of 175 blockbusters in 45 seconds – a feat the South African Olympic gold medalist surpassed as she managed to garner 178 in the set time.
Nigeria’s Oparanozie was second in the mountain climber battle, managing to hit 155, while Van Wyk and Rita Chikwelu scooped 131 and 121, respectively.
